Sunpure Secures Contract for Saudi Arabia’s 348MW Solar Project

Sunpure has inked a deal with ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC, the leading EPC company in Egypt, to deliver cutting-edge PV intelligent cleaning robots for a 348MW solar project in Saudi Arabia. Sunpure has already signed contracts exceeding 4GW in capacity for 6 solar projects in Saudi Arabia. However, the project marks the company’s first collaboration with Elsewedy, signaling further expansion into the global market.

The plant is part of the Kingdom’s National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), and is scheduled for commissioning in 2024. Once completed, the average annual power generation capacity is estimated to be around 876 million kWh, substantially reducing carbon emissions by over 500,000 tonnes annually.
