Petrofac Wins a Deal to Explore Green Hydrogen to Ammonia Facility Feasibility in Egypt – EQ Mag Pro
A leading energy industry international service provider, Petrofac has won its first-ever energies project in Egypt with one of the in-country subsidiaries of Egypt-centered Mediterranean Energy Partners, also known as MEP.
The early-stage study project will be assessing the feasibility of developing a hydrogen-to-ammonia conversion facility aimed to produce up to 125,000 tonnes of green ammonia for export per year using a combination of wind and solar energy.
Petrofac’s scope includes sizing the electrolyzers and the feasibility of Ain Sokhna Port’s feasibility on the Gulf of Suez.
