The collaboration will set new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and innovation

China-headquartered JinkoSolar, a leading solar and energy storage company, has inked a monumental deal with Acwa Power, one of the leading power and sea desalination giants. This historic agreement involves the supply of 3.8 GW N-type Tiger Neo panels for two pivotal projects in Saudi Arabia: the 1,581MWp Al Kahfah and the 2,257MWp AR Rass 2.

The collaboration heralds a new era in the realm of solar energy, setting new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and innovation.

JinkoSolar Tiger Neo solar modules

Produced using the cutting-edge N-type TOPCon technology, JinkoSolar’s Tiger Neo solar modules have redefined industry benchmarks. These modules not only offer unparalleled efficiency but also exhibit reduced degradation, lower temperature coefficient, enhanced bifacial factor, and unmatched yield per watt. This innovation translates into significantly reduced lifetime energy costs, making clean energy accessible and affordable on an unprecedented scale.

This supply agreement stands as a resounding validation of Tiger Neo’s exceptional performance, durability, and reliability, setting it apart from conventional solar panels. Its superiority has been underscored through rigorous testing and real-world applications. By demonstrating its reliability and effectiveness, Tiger Neo has not only secured its position as a frontrunner but has also showcased its competitive edge in the market.

The pact highlights JinkoSolar’s commitment to providing clean, competitively priced energy for vital sectors such as desalination and hydrogen production across the Middle East. As stated by Yunhe Lv, Executive VP of Acwa China, “N-type TOPCon technology will help ensure our solar projects meet performance goals to provide clean, competitively priced energy for desalination and hydrogen production.”

Robin Li, GM of JinkoSolar Mena, said Acwa continues to be the largest power and sea desalination company, and also a pioneer in green energy transition.

“We are excited to be expanding our MENA footprint and engaging in a more diversified and innovative cooperation with Acwa,” he added.
