Egypt has pledged to generate 42% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2035. Currently, the figure is just 12%. To get there, in a nation where the sun shines most of the year, they will rely heavily on solar power. Solar is expected to provide 22% of Egypt’s energy within a decade.
