B.Grimm Power Plc (BGRIM) has continued its expansion in the renewable energy sector, recently initiating a solar power plant project in Italy.
The project, known as Ortanova, involves the installation of an 80.9-megawatt solar energy system on the ground, equipped with a tracking system, in response to the growing demand for clean energy.
The project is operated through RES Co Sicilia S.r.l., a subsidiary of BGRIM that acquired 100% of LT06 S.r.l.’s total issued shares, said Harald Link, president of BGRIM. He said the acquisition exceeded €10,000.
“The company is dedicated to the vision of empowering the world compassionately,” he said.
“This strategic expansion fully aligns with our ‘GreenLeap-Global and Green’ strategy, which is designed to foster enhanced global business cooperation with both domestic and international partners.”
BGRIM is also developing 250-300MW of renewable power plant projects that are in various stages of development in Italy.
Mr Link said throughout this year, the company has invested in renewable energy power plants under subsidiary and joint venture schemes.
“B.Grimm Power was selected to generate and supply electricity from renewable sources for the Thai government, amounting to 339MW,” he said.
“Other investments include solar power plants in Malaysia totalling 90MW and a 99MW solar power plant in South Korea.”
The company is committed to construction and development of renewable energy power plants in South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Cambodia, Greece, the US, Australia, the United Arab Emirates.
