China Energy Engineering Shanxi Electric Power Engineering Company (CEEC-SEPEC) has secured the first green guarantee for a solar project in Oman from Standard Chartered Bank.
CEEC-SEPEC is the primary Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the solar project.
Standard Chartered announced the development on Tuesday, highlighting the strengthening bilateral ties between China and Oman.
While the project’s name remains undisclosed, Chinese news portal Seetao previously reported that CEEC-SEPEC had secured the EPC contract for the 500-megawatts Manah Solar II Independent Power Project (IPP) in Manah, Oman, reported Zawya.
