CM Shri Bhupendra Patel extends an invitation to participate in the Vibrant Summit

Mr. Mohammad Hassan Alsuwaidi, the Minister of Investment from the United Arab Emirates, with their respective delegations, convened a significant meeting with CM Shri Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar. During the meeting, they engaged in constructive discussions regarding investments and collaborative efforts in various sectors, aiming to further strengthen the commercial ties between India, Gujarat, and the UAE. Mr. Mohammad Hassan expressed keen interest in establishing a food park, particularly in Gujarat, as a concrete measure to enhance food security in Middle Eastern countries under the I2U2 initiative.

He expressed a strong interest in UAE investments in the fields of renewable energy, offshore, and wind energy. He also showed enthusiasm for the development of a retail market, power plants, and the proposed seafood industry in Veraval and Porbandar. He stated that a team of experts from the UAE will soon visit Gujarat to conduct primary preparations for potential investments in these sectors, including the selection of suitable locations and land. CM Shri Bhupendra Patel promised the full cooperation of the Gujarat Government, highlighting the cordial development of India-UAE relations under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi, and the creation of opportunities for mutual investments. The CM added that once the UAE expert team identifies investment locations, the state government will promptly initiate the planning for necessary permissions and land allocation.

CM Shri Bhupendra Patel emphasized Gujarat’s commitment to the guiding principles of “Sauno Sath, Sauno Vikas” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” as envisioned by PM Shri Narendra Modi. He assured that the Gujarat state government would extend appropriate support for UAE’s investments in Gujarat.

The development narrative of Gujarat, encompassing sectors such as Energy, Green Growth, GIFT City, Dholera SIR, PM MITRA Park, Port Lad Development, Food & Agri Products Park, robust infrastructure, and logistics, was presented by Secretary Shri S.J. Haider.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel extended an invitation to the UAE to participate in the upcoming Vibrant Summit. Reciprocating the same, the Minister of the UAE invited the Chief Minister to visit the UAE.

This meeting included the participation of the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Kailasanathan, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Agriculture Department Shri A. K. Rakesh, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Shri M. K. Das, with other senior secretaries.
